Inspection : Draft Valuation Roll Notice 25/2009 - 31 March 2009
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1) (a) (i), read together with Section 78(2) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act 6 of 2004, hereinafter referred to as the “Act”, that the Valuation Roll for the financial years 2009-2012 is open for public inspection at the Nxuba Municipal offices in Adelaide during office hours from 02 April 2009 to 15 May 2009. The Valuation Roll is available for download below.
An invitation is hereby made in terms of Section 49(1) (a) (ii), read together with Section 78(2) of the Act, that any owner of property or other person who so desires, should lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in or omitted from the Valuation Roll within the abovementioned period.
Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act, an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the Valuation Roll as such. The lodging of an objection will not defer liability for payment of rates beyond the date determined for payment.
Written objections may be submitted on the prescribed form to the Municipal Manager by 12:00 on Friday, 15 May 2009. The forms for lodging an objection are obtainable at the Adelaide Library and Bedford Municipal office.

Comments : Draft By-law on Rates Policy Notice 26/2009 - 31 March 2009
Nxuba Municipality is calling for comments on its draft By-law on the Property Rates Policy. The Property Rates By-law is available for perusal at Nxuba Municipal offices in Adelaide and Bedford and at the Public Libraries. In addition the by-law is also available for download below.
Written comments may be submitted to the Municipal Manager by 12:00
on Friday, 15 May 2009.
